Betsy Gordon L.Ac, MAcOM practices whole-systems Traditional Chinese Medicine. Utilizing combinations of acupuncture, nutrition, herbal medicine, acupressure, massage, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, mindfulness, and qigong, she collaborates with her patients to alleviate symptoms and build resilience. Her treatments are gentle and focused on results.
Diagnosed with Celiac disease at the age of 12, Betsy suffered the downstream effects of poor digestive health for years. Eventually, she sought the support of Chinese medicine and since she’s been consistently impressed with its efficacy in treating a wide variety of conditions. It’s remarkable how it can recognize pathological patterns before they manifest, can account for — and treat! — the emotions entangled with pain.
Betsy successfully treats acute and chronic pain, injuries and imbalance, digestive disorders, women’s health conditions, migraines, allergies, hypertension, anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia. She is especially interested in integrating Eastern with Western conventional care in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory digestive conditions.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Hamilton College, Betsy earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is a board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and is licensed by the state of Oregon.
Born and raised in Vermont, Betsy maintains a healthy “nature habit.” She loves growing, preparing, and sharing food, especially soup. She’s a keen supporter of Portland’s electronic arts community. Above all, she is thrilled to share the grace of Chinese medicine with her fellow Northeast Portlanders.
